Social Media Manager

Most people scroll past cybersecurity content. You figure out why - then build the thing that makes everyone else stop. You live in the comments, you know the meme before it peaks, and you can take a topic as dry as cybersecurity and turn it into something people actually want to share. At Surfshark, social media isn't just publishing. It's how we build awareness, start conversations, test wild ideas, and make online security feel relevant to real life. If that sounds like your playground, keep reading. IF YOU WANT TO: • Own our social content end to end across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and Threads - from the first idea to publishing to figuring out what actually worked; • Create platform-native content that fits where it lives: short-form video, static posts, carousels, and reactive posts that land with different audiences; • Stay ahead of internet culture, spotting trends, memes, and conversations we can jump into before they go stale; • Turn cybersecurity research and product benefits into content a smart non-expert gets instantly; • Dig into performance, spot the patterns, and turn what you learn into sharper content next time; • Experiment constantly, testing new formats and approaches to see what clicks across platforms and audiences. AND YOU CAN CHECK OFF: • Proven experience managing social channels for a brand, agency, or digital-first business; • A strong feel for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and Threads - their algorithms, formats, and how people actually behave on each; • Hands-on short-form video skills, from scripting and filming to basic editing; • Confidence reading social metrics - reach, engagement rate, shares, saves, video views, audience retention - and knowing what they're telling you; • A proactive streak: you don't wait to be told what's trending or what to make next; • Excellent English copywriting and communication skills; • Real curiosity about internet culture, technology, digital privacy, and the way social keeps shifting under everyone's feet. BONUS POINTS IF YOU: • Have worked with international audiences, especially US and UK markets; • Know how Reddit communities work and how brands join in without getting roasted; • Have run paid social or boosted organic content; • Use AI tools to speed up production, research, or workflows; • Have handled research-driven, educational, or tech content; • Love experimenting with unexpected formats, humor, and cultural references. HERE’S THE DEAL: • Growth and learning opportunities: time dedicated to learning, conferences, online learning platforms, and books for your professional development; • Health and wellness: we want you to feel and be your best. That's why we offer various benefits, from online workouts and a physical coach to health insurance and regular mental health checks; • Tools of your choice: choose the technical equipment and tools you need to do your best work; • Community and celebrations: get ready for long-lasting traditions such as yearly workation, Friday get-togethers, various team buildings and company celebrations; • Work-life balance: We encourage working in the office, with the possibility of up to two remote days per week. Plus, with our WFA policy, you can work from almost anywhere in the world; • More days off: additional vacation days depending on your tenure; • Premium Surfshark accounts: for you, your family, and friends; • Gross salary: 2400-3300 Eur/month. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
