Senior Software Engineer

What you’ll be doing Designing, developing, and evolving high-performance backend systems that power our global solutions. Building and maintaining microservices-based applications with clean, efficient, and well-structured code. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and ensure quality delivery . Actively contributing to code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Supporting internal and external stakeholders when needed. Staying current with Java trends and emerging technologies . Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 4+ years of professional Java development experience . Solid experience with Java 17 (migration to Java 25 underway) and Spring Boot 2.6 (upgrade to Spring Boot 4 underway). Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and multithreading/concurrency . Excellent command of the Greek & English language, both written and spoken. Experience with MySQL, Hibernate/JPA, JUnit, Git , and modern software development workflows, including automated testing. Hands-on experience with Generative AI/LLM tools in the software development lifecycle, including effective prompting, code validation, security, and responsible AI-assisted development. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD, observability, and production troubleshooting is a plus. Collaborative and proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to writing maintainable, high-quality software.
