Product Designer (Design + Code)

ABOUT US Cracken is an applied AI lab building the world's first full kill chain proactive cyber platform. Built by cyber warfare-experienced operators and AI researchers, Cracken keeps digital infrastructure resilient so businesses and societies can operate. THE ROLE We're looking for a Product Designer who also builds, someone who can design in Figma and ship in code, to own the end-to-end UI/UX of our AI-native cybersecurity platform. You will shape how security teams interact with an AI agent in high-stakes, real-world workflows. That means clean, precise interfaces where every interaction is intentional and every pixel earns its place. This is a hands-on role. You design it, you build it. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Own product design from research and concept through to production-ready code across the core product • Build and maintain the product design system, in Figma and in React + TypeScript + TailwindCSS • Translate complex security workflows into interfaces that feel intuitive to practitioners • Collaborate directly with backend engineers and security researchers to ship features fast • Define interaction patterns for human-in-the-loop AI experiences • Lead design reviews and contribute to component architecture and frontend standards MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE • 4+ years designing and building user-facing products as a product designer, design engineer, or equivalent hybrid role • Strong proficiency in ReactJS, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS • Ability to own design decisions end-to-end without a dedicated design team • Deep understanding of usability, accessibility, and responsive design • Experience working directly with engineers and PMs in fast-moving environments TECHNICAL STACK Experience with tools such as: • Figma (design systems, prototyping, and developer handoff) • ReactJS + TypeScript + TailwindCSS • WebSockets, Docker NICE TO HAVE • Experience designing for developer tools, data-intensive dashboards, or AI interfaces • Familiarity with human-in-the-loop workflows, LLM agent UX, or security tools • Contributions to open-source UI frameworks or design systems • Background in early-stage startups or cross-functional product squads • Interest in cybersecurity and/or AI-enabled tooling. Curiosity is enough; deep expertise is not required WHY CRACKEN? • Real-world impact: Our technology is validated in high-stakes, real-world environments and grounded in hands-on internal research. • Team with a mission: A Ukrainian-heavy international team of PhDs, professors, and senior industry engineers, driven by intrinsic motivation and real-world adversity. • Adaptive roles: We shape roles around exceptional talent. Your ownership and drive will define your path. • Perfect timing: Operating at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems, Cracken is uniquely positioned to build resilient security products. WHAT WE OFFER • Ownership over a core product surface • Direct collaboration with founders and senior engineers • High autonomy and real influence on product direction • Fully remote and flexible work setup • Competitive compensation Send your portfolio, GitHub, or any product work you're proud of.
